Underwater Bosses are an instrumental surf punk trio from Syracuse, New York. Formed in 2018, the band channels the raw, reverb-drenched energy of classic surf rock — think Dick Dale, Link Wray, The Chantays, and Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet — and drags it through a punk, garage, and math rock wringer.

Their debut album Aqua La Vista (Sharawaji Records, 2019) is available on Red Tide Translucent vinyl, CD, and digital download everywhere. Their latest release, Dark Side of the Ride (2025), dives into darker, Halloween-themed surf territory — horror surf punk at its finest.
High-energy live performances across New York State and beyond have earned them a reputation as one of the region's most electrifying live acts. The band members have collaborated across numerous musical projects since their high school days in the 90s.
